Norinco Type 56 (SKS) Rifle

Designed in 1943 by Sergi Siminov, the SKS-45 (Samozaryadnyj Karabin sistemy Simonova, 1945) became one of the most prolific firearms in history.  Widely exported by the Soviets in the late 1940's and 1950's the SKS became the standard rifle in many countries until replaced in most cases by the AK-47 rifle.

This example is a Chinese Type 53 Carbine manufactured in 1966 by Norinco at the Jianshe Arsenal under license.  It is matching and in excellent condition with excellent bore. 

Chambered in 7.62x39mm
